Pet First Aid and CPR

protrainingOur sitters are all taking a certification class in pet first aid and CPR  for 2017. This has to be renewed every 2 years. The sitters that have completed this course for 2017 so far are:

AnnRprotrainingAnn R. moved here from Ohio. She is a life long animal lover having owned dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, a snake, gerbils and probably some others! Pet sitting allows Ann to fulfill her need to be a tender care giver for your pets. As a medical professional, Ann brings a practiced clinical eye to pet health and a happy, playful demeanor to allay the stress that our beloved pets can experience in their owner’s absence. She is committed to safety, great communication and to exceeding customer expectations.

 


Julie R.protrainingJulie R. is a stay-at-home mom of a 12 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. She has a cat, Bella. She has always had a passion for animals, volunteering at ASPCA. She has always had pets growing up and she is excited to work for Four Paws. Besides pet sitting, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and walking on the beach

 

 


ElianaSprotrainingEliana S. is currently a college student working towards becoming a veterinary technician. As a life long animal lover Eliana was lucky enough to grow up with a wide variety of pets and has recently adopted a Plott hound/ Pitbull mix of her own. She finds joy in caring for animals and looks forward to providing the love and care your pets need while you are away.

 


ShannonprotrainingShannon Y. Shannon is currently a college student who has a passion for animals. She is a owner of a beloved feline named Oliver and has also been a rabbit owner in the past. She has been a past volunteer at the ASPCA of Raleigh and also at Carolina Tiger Rescue in Pittsboro. Shannon looks forward to seeing your pets happy faces!

 

 


JanprotrainingJan L. Is the owner of two standard Dachshunds named Abbey and Misty. Abbey came into her life when she was just 7 weeks old and will be turning 12 in July. Misty was rescued and adopted by Jan when she was 4 and she will turn 11 in August. Misty suffers from anxiety which has improved tremendously with the love and careful attention that Jan has provided. Passion to care for animals is the reason that Jan devotes her time to ensuring that every animal she cares for gets all the time and attention that they need.

 


Tracy A.protrainingTracy A. is a stay-at home mom with two young girls. She left her career as a Commercial Interior Designer to stay at home. She works part time managing a Kids Club in a local gym. Over the years she has had dogs, cats, squirrels, a rabbit and ducks. She shares a true love for animals and respects the love that owners have for their pets. She loves to exercise and walking dogs is one way to get in some extra exercise for the day.

 


Angie C.protrainingAngie C. has loved animals all her life and has found them to be the best friends and companions a person can have. She enjoys loving and caring for her own pets and always volunteers to look after her family members’ little buddies when they are away. Angie is a home schooling mom blessed with five wonderful kids. She enjoys running, yoga, and reading pet related forums on the internet. Her three year old Chow-Chow, four year old ferret, and her thirteen year old Bengal cat love her unconditionally as she does them!


Nik Pets BioprotrainingNikolas W. came to NC in 2007 by way of Miami. Ever since his childhood, he had a family dog (or two) in his life. He also grew up with rabbits, birds, and other more exotic animals. In his teens, he was friendly with the local vet and would volunteer his time to wash and walk the dogs for community service. His enthusiasm for animals continues today as he owns two dogs and three hens. His hobbies include the bass-guitar, rock climbing, and creative writing. A fellow writer suggested he pen a story about chickens and he’s certainly considering it!


DeniseR.protrainingDenise R. grew up in the country and always had multiple pets that stayed both in the home and outside. She completely understands the pet owner who feels as if their pets are their children, because she feels the same way – and really knows the importance of having someone caring and trustworthy to take care of those children while the owner is away from the home. When Denise isn’t watching your pets, she works at a bank, and also antiques… any time left over lets her enjoy her cooking and gardening interests.

 


KellyprotrainingKelly F. Kelly moved to Raleigh for school about 5 years ago and decided to stick around! She used to care for local pets in her home state of Maryland and would love to continue the experience in NC! She grew up with a dog and has enjoyed pet sitting a variety of animals including: dogs, cats, pigs, alpacas, and chickens! She looks forward to meeting and taking care of all your animals!

 


Marie M.protrainingMarie M. has always enjoyed being with animals in some capacity. She works as a veterinary technician and is going to school to become a paralegal. She enjoys sewing, crafts woodworking, calligraphy, miniatures and gardening. She loves exotics in particular birds.

protrainingGerrie S. “They say Life Is Good, but it is really, really good when you retire and get to play with your fur babies!” Gerrie has recently retired from a corporate job but along the way came five boys and lots of animals. She and her husband are empty nesters. She enjoys gardening, traveling, and friends. Gerrie gets a calm sensation being around animals. She looks forward to taking care of your fur babies!

 


MichelleprotrainingMichelleF. has been an animal lover her whole life. She has experience with dogs, cats, birds and many varieties of small animals. In her spare time she enjoys crafts, reading and Netflix with her fur babies. She understands how stressful it can be for pets and owners to be apart so she will always provide the best possible care for your darlings. Your family’s comfort is her top priority.

 


JoeyBprotrainingJoey B. grew up in Eastern NC & now calls the Raleigh area home. Over the years he’s cared for everything from snakes & turtles to tarantulas, parrots, hamsters, ferrets, rabbits and yes, cats & dogs too! He has a lifetime love for all animals and now shares his home with his cat, Abby and a very rambunctious Havanese puppy named Bailey. He looks forward to looking after your four-legged family members while you’re away from home.

 


Gabrielle MprotrainingGabrielle M. loves animals and has always had at least one pet to spoil. She has lived in Raleigh for the past four years. She understands how important pet babies are and will provide your pets with the best care possible. When she is not taking care of her rambunctious four year old son and spoiled cat Lily, she likes to read and go for walks.

 

 


Linda T.protrainingLinda T. is enjoying her retirement with her husband and her 2 big dogs, Scout and Kerry, who swim daily in their pool. Her family affectionately calls her the Crazy Dog Lady; she calls it therapy, a source of unconditional acceptance. She understands first hand how important it is for owners to have confidence in their pet sitter. When she’s not walking dogs or playing with her grandchildren, Linda enjoys gardening, reading, movies and swimming.

 


PatBPat B.Pat has 3 grown daughters and 2 grandsons which brought her to NC, 2 years ago. When not working, she enjoys tennis, bowling, water aerobics, theatre, reading and oil painting. As an animal lover it is important for her that you know that her time with your pet will reflect love and respect. From past experiences, she has found dog sitting to be a rewarding experience and that is why she chose this as a vocation. She looks forward to meeting you and keeping your pets happy!
